What is Muscle Response Test?
Muscle Response Testing (M.R.T.) also called
Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a way of coming
into dialogue with your systems: or talking and
listening to the body.
A light pressure is applied to a muscle
(example; an outstretched arm). The response, of
resistance or release, communicates to the
practitioner what imbalances are present and what
rebalancing techniques are appropriate.
With (M.R.T.) we can track to the source of a
problem. It works with the self healing process -
acknowledging that the body knows what it needs to bring
about balance or change unresolved issues -- structural,
physiological and emotional traumas that the body has
accumulated -- can pile up like layers in our
body.
Using the Muscle Response Testing, we
identify which layer needs to be addressed first. . .
. As the problems of that layer are resolved, the
body presents the next layer to be addressed. By
honoring the body's wisdom and recognizing its innate
ability to communicate what is most important in the
healing process, we are able to identify the
appropriate sequence and protocol for each layer of
healing.
Nutritional supplements and
herbal formulas are used to assist the body
during periods of detoxification, cleansing and
rebuilding. If indicated, chiropractic
adjustments, electro-emotional adjustments and
lifestyle changes are suggested to assist the
body through the healing process.
The client being tested holds his or her arm
out to the side and doesn't let it drop when the
health professional pushes down. Then the health
professional touches a part of the body and pushes
down on the arm again. If the arm becomes weaker that
shows a problem with the part of the body connected
with that touched point.
What is tested
first?
First the amount of electricity in the body
is checked. If there is not enough electricity there
are certain things the client does to build that up
before any further testing can be done. Just
this will get an improvement for the
patient.
Then the health professional goes down a
check list of buttons in an exact order and tests for
weakness in a muscle. When he finds a button which
tests weak he may have found the problem...or he may
have to test another set of buttons, once again in an
exact order to find the real problem.
The "real, real" problem may not even show
up the first visit. Often there are several layers of
problems which need to be fixed. They come off in
layers like an onion. At times a problem cannot be
fixed because it is protecting the body from another
problem.
Asking a very strong male athlete to resist
me pushing their arm down while holding a negative
thought in their mind, is often a big surprise for
them. What should be very easy becomes impossible
because their emotions are creating a kind of "short
circuit" in their nervous system preventing any hope
of resisting my otherwise weaker arms.
Here is the empowered scenario. You feel
like something could be missing in your diet. So you
ask, using a pendulum or muscle testing, if something
is in fact missing in your diet. You get a "yes." So
you start asking questions like, "Do I need a
multivitamin?" "Do I need more trace minerals?" "Do I
need an energy supplement?" "Do I need a green
supplement?" Very quickly you will have narrowed down
exactly what you need. Say the answer was a green
supplement. You then go to the health food store or
on-line and check out the green supplements. There
are at least ten, maybe more. So you ask, "Is what I
need here on this shelf (or this page)?" You continue
to narrow it down until you have the one bottle that
is exactly what you need. There are no unanswered
questions. And within a few days you will feel that
you body is receiving what it needed. You will feel
different. You will feel better. And you will "know"
its what your body needed.
In the unempowered scenario you waste time, energy, and
money on things you "think" you could use. I now often
recommend using a pendulum or muscle testing as a way of
saving money.
